Just for the sake of clarity ...
This is a blog. It's written by a dad who is blind. Though at the time of writing (31 Jan 2008) I'm technically not yet a dad because baby hasn't been born.
Why am I writing this blog? I guess it's because I've Googled for months and haven't really found anything useful aimed at dads who can't see. But, oh lets forget the pretence of me creating this as some kind of helpful resource to other blind fathers ... I'm writing it because I want to be able to look back at my journey in years to come. Though maybe I have a tiny agenda whereby I'd like to prove that blind people can also be parents with no problem. Sounding confident aren't I? Trust me, I'm not. Did I mention my partner also has sight problems? I'm aware that thousands of blindies have gone before me though. So it'll all be all right, yes? Won't it?
